Matilde di Canossa was the most powerful woman of her time, about a thousand years ago. In 1077 she managed to reconcile an old snorty pope and a young ambitious emperor. Charles of Wales, 61 year old, is a vegetarian and ecologist. He promotes a way of living and building that respects traditions and places. Thanks to his support a residential and hospitality burg was built in the southern hinterland of Reggio Emilia, close to Canossa, in a green area of 65 acres including a 18-hole-golf course.
